Review: Who doesn't love a good thriller?  Warner Brothers answers the call with this cool new 20 film collection.  I have thousands of DVDs and Blu-Ray in my collection, so a space saver and retrospective like this is really appreciated!   A few highlights on this set include the modern 1989 Batman AND The Dark Knight, as well as Natural Born Killers (the awesome director's cut version) and loads more!   This one makes a wonderful gift to others or for yourself!  You have movie night set for the rest of the year with this fantastic new set.  Celebrate 90 years of Warner Bros. We highly recommend!

Review: The Great Gatsby is one of my all time favorite novels.  F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic book.  My wife and I used to sit together as teenagers and read the book to each other.  Couple that with the fact that the creative energy behind this film is none other than Baz Luhrman.  You may know Baz's other revolutionary work such as Moulin Rouge and Romeo & Juliet!  I'm going to tell you right now that if you enjoyed those two films, then you'll love Gatsby.  If you're not a fan of Baz's stamp on film, then this may not be the adaptation for you!  Personally, I LOVED it.  The movie has everything..ultra-sleek modern attitude blended with period tragedy, romance and drama.  Gatsby is without a doubt THE movie of the year.  I cannot recommend it enough.

Review: The new era of My Little Pony has been a glorious one indeed.  Talk about a comeback.  What the HUB network has done with the "Friendship is Magic" series is phenominal.  The brand has captured the attention of younger fans and even competes with shows like Adventure Time among tween audiences.  This newest feature, Equestria Girls, is a really fun jaunt outside of the norm for the show to an alternate dimension where humanoid versions of the Ponys exist.  The film was entertaining and fun and right in line with the tone of the show.  My nine year old was so excited to see this film I can't even tell you...and she LOVED it.  Thumbs up from us both!

Synopsis: Lars (Thure Lindhardt) is a former darling of the art scene who is slipping away into the land of has-beens and has been struggling with a lack of inspiration.
