Review: Cartoon Network has hit a new era of animation with shows like the Regular Show and Adventure Time.  If you haven't seen the Regular Show, let me assure you that its anything but.  This cartoon is bizarre, avante garde and over the edge.  The really odd take has made the show able to appeal to younger kids and tweens..and even adults.  The show has something for everyone.   The show basically starts out with the characters facing a typical everyday problem of some kind that quickly degenerates into insanity!  Its nice to see the show finally collected into seasons, rather than random episode releases, as we've seen in the past.

If you love the Regular Show, this release is a fantastic value.  Not only do you get the show on blu-ray high definition, but you get the first two seasons collected together for a great price!

After scaring up big laughs in theaters, the in-home release of “Monsters University” opens its doors to the movie in stunning high definition Blu-ray, and provides hours of all-new bonus material, in-depth behind the scenes features, deleted scenes, the animated theatrical short “The Blue Umbrella” and much more.  Directed by Dan Scanlon ("Cars," "Mater and the Ghostlight," "Tracy"), produced by Kori Rae ("Up," "The Incredibles," "Monsters, Inc."), and written by Dan Scanlon and Robert Baird & Dan Gerson (“Monsters, Inc.”), “Monsters University” marks Pixar’s 14th consecutive film to debut at number one at the box office.
Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike's plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, "Sulley" (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair's out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University's elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right. “Monsters University” bravely explores themes of self-discovery and the revelations that come with growing up.

Sons In Real Life

Debuting on Blu-ray and DVD August 27

From creator Kurt Sutter comes the adrenaline-charged Sons of Anarchy, featuring extended episodes and kicking into high gear with its biggest, most explosive season ever! As SAMCRO’s new president, Jax is surrounded by ruthless enemies and gut-wrenching betrayal. With Gemma fighting for control of the family and a bloodthirsty Clay out for revenge, Jax finds himself haunted by the sins of his past. Alliances are forged, friends are murdered, and loyalties are put to the ultimate test. Now, with the truth in sight, Jax must do whatever it takes to secure the legacy of brotherhood and protect his family --- even if it costs him everything.

Each season, Sons of Anarchy provides the audience with a look into SAMCRO and the members of the club. We witness the love, betrayal, and friendships between the son and we grow attached to certain characters. None was more beloved than Ryan Hurst’s Opie Winston. He was a family man who loved his wife Donna and their children. He loved his late father Piney and respected his mother – though they had their differences. In season 5, Opie sacrifices his life out of devotion to the club. As a tribute to Op, we’ve compiled some of his best SAMCRO moments:

Opie Confronts ATF Agent June Stahl

Agent Stahl was a bloodthirsty, driven, agent who set up Opie as a traitor in Clay Morrow’s eyes. While Opie had nothing to hide, Clay grew to secretly distrust him and behind the scenes, arranged for Tig to murder Opie. The mistake was shocking – as it was Opie’s wife Donna who paid the price, while Agent Stahl was later revealed to have lied about Opie. The anger that Opie feels towards Agent Stahl for setting him up, coupled by his depression over the loss of his wife was too much to bear. Opie eventually finds and confronts Agent Stahl – letting her live to teach her a lesson in humility the first time, while finally executing her the second time the way Donna was murdered.

Opie Confronts Clay Over Piney’s Death

Clay morrow is a ruthless killer; he’s a greedy bastard and a traitor. No one saw those changes more clearly than Opie’s father Piney Winston. Tired of Clay’s BS, Piney confronts Clay and he murders him in cold blood. When Opie learns the truth, all hell breaks loose. Can you blame him? Opie went to jail for the club, he lost his wife and was set up as a snitch by Clay for the club, and he lost his father to Clay. Some things are impossible to let go, and the moment Opie confronts and shoots Clay, is both mesmerizing and heartbreaking.

Opie and Lyla

After Donna’s death, Opie is a broken man.  He becomes distant from his children; he sleeps at the Clubhouse. Concerned, Jax confronts his best friend and asks him if he has a death wish. Nothing seems to lift Opie’s dark cloud, until he meets Lyla. A porn star and a single mother, Lyla lights a fire in Opie’s eyes and breathes new life into him. Together, Opie starts to heal and rebuild. They even get married! For once, the future seems bright. Though this happiness is short-lived, the strength Opie gained helps push forward.

Opie’s Ultimate Sacrifice

Tired of the life, tired of the betrayals, and the loss of his loved ones at the hands of an unpunished Clay Morrow, Opie Winston gives the club the ultimate sacrifice – his life. At the end, there was no one but Jax to feel his pain. Though Opie was angry at his best friend for keeping the truth about his father’s death to himself, Jax was ultimately forgiven, and saved by Opie. Physically and morally saved, for now Jax must deal with the fallout. Will he man up and punish Clay? Will he become the kind of leader that motivates? Or will he turn into Clay? Opie’s death is the fulcrum of Jax’s leadership. What he does with the gift of a second chance will determine if Opie’s ultimate sacrifice was worth it.

Opie and Jax

They are the brothers that neither of them had, and they are best friends.  Throughout “Sons of Anarchy” it becomes apparent that the love that Jax and Opie share is powerful. With all of the crazy drama that a biker gang life entails, their support is what got them through their battles with the ATF, the IRA, the drug cartel and Damon Pope. Opie’s loss has a profound effect on Jax , and it sets the stage for what’s to come in Season 6.

“Sons of Anarchy: Season Five” will be in stores 8/27 on Blu-ray and DVD courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Season 6 of "Sons of Anarchy" premieres Tuesday, 9/10 at 10 PM on FX.

The only member of the Wolfpack who’s not content is Alan (Zach Galifianakis). Still lacking a sense of purpose, the group’s black sheep has ditched his meds and given in to his natural impulses in a big way – which, for Alan, means no boundaries, no filters and no judgment – until a personal crisis forces him to finally seek the help he needs.

And who better than his three best friends to make sure he takes the first step. This time, there’s no bachelor party. No wedding. What could possibly go wrong? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.

Despite only making three films – all of them for Warner Bros. – Dean became one of Hollywood’s most spectacular stars, and 50 years later still remains an internationally compelling force, an iconic image, and a cult favorite of timeless fascination.   On November 5, Warner Home Video will debut East of Eden, Rebel Without a Cause and Giant (a George Stevens production), remastered Blu-ray as the James Dean Ultimate Collector’s Edition – a limited and numbered six-disc set that boasts three feature-length documentaries about Dean’s life including James Dean Forever Young, narrated by Martin Sheen; American Masters James Dean Sense Memories and George Stevens: A Filmmaker’s Journey.  Packaged in a double-wide gift set, the collection also contains a 48-page photo book with behind-the-scene images and rare insight into each film. King of the Streets Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: Yue Feng (Yue Song) is a young thug with exceptional streetfighting abilities. He will stop at nothing to defeat all challengers - until, in an tragic accident, he kills a fellow competitor and is sent to prison. Eight years later, Yue Feng emerges a changed man. He no longer fights, and is looking for a new life of peace and fulfillment. But it's brutal on the streets, and redemption doesn't come easy. His brotherhood is destroyed, family members murdered, and a loved one humiliated - a deadly chain reaction that leaves him no choice but to unleash his power in the name of justice. KING OF THE STREETS, China's first street-fighting movie, pits real-life martial artist Yue Song against more than 10 of the world's top contenders in MMA, Jiu-jitsu, Jeet Kune Do, Sanda, and Muay Thai boxing.

Review: This action-packed new feature is Yue Song's time to shine!  Writer, Director, Choreographer and Actor in this film, Song is really taking a hands on approach to martial arts filmmaking that hasn't been seen since the likes of Jackie Chan.  I enjoyed the story, although it wasn't terribly original, but the action was above and beyond what I've been seeing lately.  The editing is wonderful with tons of slow motion shots during the fights and a great stylized feel.  I definately recommend this to anyone interested in martial arts film.
