Or steal it. But it's probably better for everybody if you bought it.

Review: Wyatt Cenac is a fantastic stand-up comedian.  He hits on a lot of race-based humor in his act.  He is a black guy, but his humor is not geared specifically for a black audience, its accessible to anyone.  His thoughtful and well-spoken observations are hilarious and a fantastic watch.

Review: The career of the great Clint Eastwood was made by the birth of the spaghetti western...and nothing symbolizes this era better than A Fistful of Dollars!  This film took westerns out of the cheese era and into the serious everyone for him/herself era!  This landmark and badass film is on blu-ray for the first time!  The picture is fantastic, there is very little grain, and the colors are really sharp.  This is a must-have for any serious movie collection!

Review: Win Win is a great film by Thomas McCarthy.  In the tradition of his other films, like the Visitor, this one is a great dramatic life affirming tale of people that feel isolated and are in a hole in life that find acceptance and love in the most unlikely of places.  This film is pretty heavy at times, but is really a fantastic watch.  A well-made and enjoyable film.

Review: We just reviewed the original Magnificent Seven on blu-ray.  Now, they're also releasing the first sequel...Return of the Magificent Seven!  While its not as good as the original, this one is definately the best of the sequels.  This is the first time you can get it in high-definition and it looks just as good as the original does on blu-ray!  Fantastic.  The film features all of the cast returning...still headed by the late, great Yul Brynner.  This one is a great buy for any fan of these films.

Review: The Magnificent Seven was one of the coolest westerns ever made.  Its been released on DVD, but never on blu-ray!  This is the first chance fans of this epic film get to see it in high-definition!  The cast was soon to be all-star, including Charles Bronson and Steve McQueen.  The action was solid and the plot was fantastic.  There were later sequels, but they never lived up to this one!  If you've never seen this film, but you're into westerns, then this is a must-have.  Fans of the film will be happy with the lack of grain and great color and skin tones in this blu-ray transfer!  Its definately worth an upgrade.

Award winning actor Chen Chang of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Red Cliff and 2046 fame leads leads an excellent cast that includes Jung-Woo (The Chaser, The Fox Family) and Park Ji-a (The Coast Guard).

Review: Breath is a Korean language drama..and a twisted drama at that.  I'm all for dark stories and this one did a surprisingly good job at being poignant.  It centers around rather selfish characters that are made to be sympathetic at times, which is just great storytelling.  This one is very sensual and a bit twisted for most.  You need to be ok with subtitles to enjoy this foreign import, but its well worth your time for something different.

Review: Often times religious and Christian films are a bore.  I mean an absolute bore.  This one, Grace Card, is surprisingly well-produced and well acted.  This one is very touching and a great film for anyone that is into religious drama and life-afirming film.

Synopsis: The good... the bad... the Twitchy. The sequel finds our heroine, Red (Hayden Panettiere), training with a mysterious covert group called the Sisters of the Hood. But Red is forced to cut her training short when she gets an urgent call from Nicky Flippers (David Ogden Stiers), the head of the super secret Happily Ever After Agency, aka the HEA. A wicked witch (Joan Cusack) has abducted two innocent children, Hansel (Bill Hader) and Gretel (Amy Poehler), and Nicky needs the whole Hoodwinked gang -- Red, Granny (Glenn Close), the ever-clueless Wolf (Patrick Warburton) and his over-caffeinated little partner, Twitchy (Cory Edwards) -- for the search and rescue mission.

Review: Hoodwinked was a fantastic children's movie that came out years ago.  It focused on fairytale characters, much like the Shrek series.  The first one was great, but does the sequel hold-up?  It didn't do well at the box office, thats for sure.  It only made about a third of its budget back!  Will it be a success at home video?  I think so.  The film does replace its lead character "Red" (Little Red Riding Hood) with a new voice actress, but despite this, the film is equally as fun and goofy as the first one.  My kids all loved this one and it was a pleasure for mom and dad too.  We recommend it on blu-ray + DVD combo, so you can let the kids tear the DVD apart and keep the blu-ray for the family!

Review: I was a big fan of Garfield as a kid.  I used to watch the Garfield and Friends cartoon on Saturday mornings and have collected some of that show's DVD releases to share with my own kids as an adult.  The Garfield Show is a newer incarnation of Garfield with CGI animation.  I'm usually very critical of CGI, but shows like Garfield and the Clone Wars have changed my mind.  My kids are crazy about this show, they absolutely love it.  This DVD features six great episodes, including a fun Halloween one!  Its a fantastic release and a steal for the money!

Review: The Wiggles is a great program for kids.  They've spent years singing and playing their way to stardom over the past few years.  We presented this DVD to our 2 and 7 year olds and they both loved it.  This DVD has 21 new songs that will inspire your little ones to dance and groove.  Ours both went crazy and absolutely loved this DVD.

Review: Tactical Force is one of those action films that showcases a particular talent..in this case its ex-wrestler 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin.  Austin actually does a pretty good job in this one, as the leader of a rogue SWAT team.  The script is so-so, but the action is there and its a fun watch if you're a fan of Stone Cold.

Review: This DVD set represents the final episodes of the series Everwood on DVD!  Fans can now complete their collections!  This dramatic series did a great job of treading the line of drama, so that it never went over the top.  It kept true to its themes, even in this final season.  The DVD set includes 22 episodes and is a great way to say goodbye.  The characters we've all come to know and love really achieve a level of maturity and understanding that is refreshing and helps us be more comfortable in saying goodbye.  This one is a must-have!

Review: Batman: The Brave and the Bold has recieved mixed reactions from fans and children.  Comic book fans tend to enjoy the silver-age tributes and great classic stories, while kids have a distinct lack of interest in the show.  Cartoon Network cancelled the show, and the last episode aired in early August 2011.  The first two seasons had 26 episodes each (split between two 13-episode DVD sets per season), but season three will have only 13, so we're looking at two more DVD releases after this one until you can own the entire series.  Season two really picked up and the show got a lot tighter with the storytelling and building of sub-plots.  This DVD is a must-have for any serious bat-fan.

Review: Hey Arnold! is a great Nick TV show from the classic era of Rugrats and Ahhh!  Real Monsters.   The show was wildly popular amongst kids and ran for FIVE full seasons!  This DVD represents the full first season of the show.  The episodes look amazing on DVD.  The picture is crystal clear and the sound is wonderful.  There are no extras on this DVD set, but the show is just as entertaining as it ever was!  This one is a no-brainer!

Review: In the past few years the trend of re-releasing vintage animation has skyrocketed.  Everything from Ninja Turtles to He-Man to the Real Ghostbusters and Transformers.  Now, Shout! Factory has released the classic series M.A.S.K. in a complete collection DVD set!  M.A.S.K. was one of the coolest toylines ever produced.  Kenner put out dozens of masked men with vehicles that could transform into portable battle machines.  The series has been apparently remastered, because the picture looks fantastic.  This includes 65 episodes of the original series and is a must for any child of the 1980s!

Review: This collector's set is a sports fan's dream.  The 1991 World Series was epic and this huge DVD set chronicles it ALL!  We're talking every play..every moment of this great series..its like I'm a kid again watching the series real-time.  The picture looks great and the classic commentary from the official radio announcers was a cool addition!  This is a definitive set...I wish they'd release these for every world series!

Review: Its well known amongst baseball fans that the '91 World Series was legendary.  I remember watching it back in the day and you knew you were witnessing magic.  This DVD is a great overview of the experience.  There is also a huge collector's edition out that we will be posting a review of today, as well, but this one is a great overview for the money.  Hardcore fans...watch for the collector's edition review..

Review: Burn Notice is one of the coolest shows on cable!  Its been going for quite a few years now and one of the best cast members on the show is Sam Axe, played by cult movie favorite Bruce Campbell.  We love Bruce here at the Legion, his Evil Dead trilogy has brought us hours of enjoyment of the years.  Now, in an unprecidented move, his Burn Notice character is getting his own origin film!  Its full of action and great backround story on our favorite goofball.  Its a fun movie and a must-see for any Burn Notice fan.

Review: Mars Needs Moms famously tanked at the box office.  I mean, we're talking a budget of 150 million and a domestic gross of around 22 million and worldwide about 38 million total!  Thats a flop of epic porportions.   Typically, when you watch a film you can see why it did bad at the box office.....except this time.  Mars Needs Moms is an absolutely fantastic and charming Disney animated film.  This set comes in DVD, Blu-Ray and 3D Blu-Ray!  The 3D feature looks amazing and really added to the fun of the film!

There is NO reason that I can see, other than the advertising not doing it justice, that this film shouldn't have been a hit!  Mars needs Moms is a hit with my own kids, ranging from ages 2 to 8.  My wife and I also enjoyed the humor and the dynamic characters.  This one will be a home video sleeper hit, to be sure.  Defintely pick this one up for your family.

Review: Soul Surfer is an inspiring drama about the life of Bethany Hamilton, who overcame extreme adversity.  A young girl makes her way back into surfing in this sports-themed film.  The help of her parents with their strong bond and her community really bring her back.  This one is a feel-good instant classic and a great one to watch with the entire family!

Review: This release is the first time we get the Marvel Knights motion comic series from Shout! Factory on blu-ray!  I really dig that they released it as a 2-film set.  Spider-Woman is based on the seven-part mini-series by Brian Michael Bendis, a comic book legend.  The motion comics are a ton of fun.  You may need to get used to the format at first, but you get the original artwork from the comic book series, which is a great treat.  We highly recommend this release.  Its a fantastic Marvel tale.  The other story, Iron Man: Extremis, mixes 3D and 2D animation.  Its a great and a great story.  I found it very entertaining after I adapted to the motion comic style of animation.  Hopefully Marvel will go towards straight animation soon!  These both look great in high-def!

Review: We love Sesame Street here at the Legion.  This great new DVD features fantastic Elmo tales featuring learning with the alphabet.  Its informative, silly and fun.  Our 2 and 7 year olds both greatly enjoyed watching it together.  Heck, I even enjoyed it, lol.  Elmo and Seasame Street are always a win.

Review: The Perfect Game is one of those rare films that not only makes you think, but can really draw a tear.  Cheech puts in a fantastic performance in this one that really shows off his acting chops.  The film is heartwarming, touching and phenominal.  Its a great watch for the entire family, as the moral questions raised about gender, race and society are great for all to see.

Review: I saw this great made for tv movie when it originally aired back in 1988!  This was a great blast from the past to see again.  Thanks to the Warner Archive bringing us all these great old Hanna Barbera animated specials and cartoons to DVD for the first time.  This one is a great musical movie that features Judy Jetson chasing after her favorite rock and roll star, even though her father disapproves.  A huge intergalactic chaos ensues when they both get in the middle of a big scheme by evil aliens.  This movie is crazy and very 80s.  Its such a trip and definately a must-have!
