Washington: Behind Closed Doors DVD Review

Synopsis: CIA director Bill Martin (Cliff Robertson, Charly, Falcon Crest) knows that an incoming president means a new direction for the country—and another set of eyes on the top secret Primula Report. Martin tries to build a rapport with his new boss, but President Richard Monckton (Jason Robards, All the President’s Men) is more interested in settling old scores and cleaning house with the help of the FBI.

Against the backdrop of a war in Southeast Asia and antiwar protests at home, this high-intensity political drama tells the story of an increasingly paranoid president, an administration under siege, and a reckless group of White House aides desperate to hold on to power. Featuring Stefanie Powers (Hart to Hart), Robert Vaughn (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.), and Andy Griffith (Matlock). Special appearance by John Houseman (The Paper Chase).

Review: This great british drama from the 1970s is a timeless political thriller that is well-acted and absolutely riveting.  This precursor to shows like the West Wing is a fantastic gem that we had never had the opportunity to view until it was imported here recnetly by the fine folks at Acorn Media.  This one shows politics in all their glory..or lack thereof...backstabbing and con artistry at every turn!  This one is not to be missed.  DVD releases like this are great when its summertime and you're in between current TV shows..this gives you something great to follow!

The special features include: BONUS 8-page booklet with articles on the historical background of the program, the Vietnam War, peace movements in America, Nixon’s visit to China, and the Watergate scandal; plus brief biographies of the political figures of the period, SDH subtitles, Contains coarse and offensive language, Due to the age of these programs and the improved resolution that DVD provides, you may notice occasional flaws in the image or audio of this DVD presentation that were beyond our ability to correct from the original materials.  Due to music rights, this program has been modified for home video presentation.

Princess Diaries: Two-Movie Collection Three-Disc Combo Blu-ray/DVD Combo Review

Synopsis: To commemorate the 10th anniversary of a cherished family classic, Disney proudly presents a special movie collection featuring two modern-day fairy tales, The Princess Diaries and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. Starring Academy Award winner Julie Andrews (best actress, Mary Poppins, 1964) and Academy Award-nominated Anne Hathaway (best actress, Rachel Getting Married, 2008), these two heartwarming and hilarious movies will touch your heart. As the future queen of Genovia, Princess Mia has everything a girl could want - except the enchanting romance she's always dreamed of. Comic complications rule the day in these delightfully engaging stories about finding out who you really are, and discovering what it takes to make your dreams come true!

Review: This great new blu-ray two-pack features both of the charming Princess Bride films.  These films starred a young Anne Hathaway, who is being featured as Catwoman this summer in the Dark Knight Rises!   These family films showed her potential and charm.  The first film takes her off guard as she is revealed to be the future queen (current princess) of Genovia.  This ackward teenage girl is suddenly a real-life princess, but to quote the man Stan Lee...."with great power comes great responsibility."  This film series is an absolute gem and we cannot recommend it enough for audiences of all ages.  Children, tweens, teens and adults will all enjoy these fantastic films.

The app synchs with the Blu-ray disc to  start exploring the rich and exciting history of Sherlock Holmes. http://bit.ly/JlZkvR

Synopsis: Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as the world's most famous detective, Sherlock Holmes, and Jude Law returns as his friend and colleague, Dr. Watson, in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Sherlock Holmes has always been the smartest man in the room... until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large - Professor James Moriarty (Jared Harris) - and not only is he Holmes' intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may give him an advantage over the renowned detective. Around the globe, headlines break the news: a scandal takes down an Indian cotton tycoon; a Chinese opium trader dies of an apparent overdose; bombings in Strasbourg and Vienna; the death of an American steel magnate... No one sees the connective thread between these seemingly random events - no one, that is, except the great Sherlock Holmes, who has discerned a deliberate web of death and destruction. At its center sits a singularly sinister spider: Moriarty. Holmes' investigation into Moriarty's plot becomes more dangerous as it leads him and Watson out of London to France, Germany and finally Switzerland. But the cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead, and moving perilously close to completing his ominous plan. If he succeeds, it will not only bring him immense wealth and power but alter the course of history.

Review: When the first Sherlock Holmes film came out I was skeptical.  I didn't feel like they could or would do justice to the characters and the mythology.    Low and behold, I eat my words as the first film was an absolute gem.  The first film's entire purpose, much like Batman Begins, is to set up the sequel!  Everything that you think is important in fact is just a gaff to distract you from the true plans of the ultimate villain...Professor Moriarty.   In this film, we don't just get a tease...we get the real deal.   A Game of Shadows picks up not long after the first film, with Watson getting married and Holmes still not dealing well with losing his best friend and partner.  Early on there is shocking death and the entire film is a mysterious web that must be untangled to reveal Moriarty's master plan.  This one is a thrilled, edge of your seat over the top fantastic film.  Its more of the great same from the first!  We cannot recommend this one enough.

The Awakening DVD Review

Synopsis: Screen legend Charlton Heston ("The Ten Commandments") visits Egypt as an archaeologist who discovers an ancient tomb and uncovers its curse. Mention Bram Stoker’s name, and literature and movie buffs will conjure up Count Dracula. But there was more blood in Stoker’s pen. He also wrote The Jewel of the Seven Stars, later filmed with chilling effect as The Awakening, grippingly directed by Mike Newell (Dance with a Stranger, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and sensuously shot on Egyptian locations by veteran cinematographer Jack Cardiff. Charlton Heston stars as an Egyptologist with a passion that will trigger several mysterious deaths. He’s obsessed with a sorceress whose return has been prophesied – and whose tomb he opened at the exact moment his daughter was born. Can ancient evil reach forward in time to curse the present? Horror movie fans know the terrifying answer.

Review: We have never had the pleasure of seeing the Awakening, prior to it being released to DVD for the first time exclusively by the Warner Archive.  I'm not particularly a fan of Charlton Heston's overacting, but he does a good job in Awakening.  This vintage horror classic was imagined in the mind of the legendary Bram Stoker.  Its basically a far more chilling precursor to the Mummy series..you can definately see elements they borrowed from the Awakening.  This is a great opportunity to own a rare classic.

In Darkness Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: It is 1943, the Polish town of Lvov is occupied by the Nazis. One day a sewer maintenance worker named Leopold Socha encounters a group of Jewish refugees - and hides them for money in the labyrinth of the town's sewers. At first only interested in lucrative business, the whole thing reaches more and more Socha's conscience. The Polish small-town crook makes up his mind and finally risks his own life for the refugees.

Review: You know, they make a lot of movies centered around the horrific events of WWII, but In Darkness is a fantastic new twist on survival and conscience.  This is a tale of Jewish citizens hiding in the tunnels under the city to stay alive.  This film isn't a hazing over of the events..it can be graphic and its definately heavy.  You get a feeling of what Poland may have been like during the Nazi occupation and the terror that the Jewish citizens may have felt.  This one is excellently made and should be seen by all, so we never forget.

Half A Hero DVD Review

Synopsis: Audiences always roared with delight when Red Skelton went one-on-one with post-war life in The Yellow Cab Man, The Fuller Brush Man and other films. In Half a Hero, the legendary comic took on a slice of 20th-century Americana that still resonates today: the suburbs. Red plays Ben Dobson, a magazine writer whose boss approves of Ben because he lives in a cramped Manhattan apartment instead of "the slums of tomorrow": the 'burbs. So, of course, when Ben movies his family to a sprawling housing development, he struggles (hilariously_ to keep the fact a secret. Jean Hagen, a year after her iconic portrayal of the itsy-voiced screen siren in Singin' in the Rain, plays Ben's long-suffering wife, and singer Polly Bergen makes a guest appearance with a torrid nightclub-scene rendition of "Love."

Review: Red Skelton was always a joy to watch.  He was handsome, funny and full of energy.   This film is an interesting piece of Americana, because it focuses on the suburbanization of America and the move to the suburbs and how it effects families and the individual.  This is actually a great work that should be studied in film classes around the country, in our opinion.   Don't let us bring you down, though, this one may deal with some serious social issues, but its packed in a nice, fluffy and fun wrapper!   This one is definately one to own!

Duets Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis:  Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow (Best Actress, Shakespeare In Love, 1998; Iron Man 2) and Scott Speedman (The Vow) are part of the stellar ensemble cast in this hilariously offbeat comedy! The lives of six strangers become outrageously intertwined when a riotous road trip culminates at the site of the national Karaoke championships! As they compete for the $5,000 grand prize, this unlikely group will eventually learn all about each other...while discovering answers to the questions about themselves! Also featuring great performances from Maria Bello (Grown Ups), Andre Braugher (Salt), Paul Giamatti (Sideways) and Huey Lewis (Shadow of Doubt)-- you'll agree with audiences everywhere who fell in love with this uncommonly entertaining comedy!

Review: Duets is one of the latest blu-ray to be released for a value price from Mill Creek.   This quirkly film has an outstanding cast, rounded out by the likes of Gwenth Paltro and Paul Giamatti.  This one is bizarre and off-beat, very "Best in Show"-esque.  Its a fun watch and definately one to add to your collection.

Synopsis: The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One- a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets.  The only force of order lies with the urban cops called "Judges" who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner.  Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd (Karl Urban) is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its latest scourge - a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of "Slo-Mo" experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed.

During a routine day on the job, Dredd is assigned to train and evaluate Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), a rookie with powerful psychic abilities thanks to a genetic mutation.  A heinous crime calls them to a neighborhood where fellow Judges rarely dare to venture- a 200 story vertical slum controlled by prostitute turned drug lord Ma-Ma (Lena Headey) and her ruthless clan.  When they capture one of the clan's inner circle, Ma-Ma overtakes the compound's control center and wages a dirty, vicious war against the Judges that proves she will stop at nothing to protect her empire.  With the body count climbing and no way out, Dredd and Anderson must confront the odds and engage in the relentless battle for their survival.

The endlessly inventive mind of writer Alex Garland and director Pete Travis bring DREDD to life as a futuristic neo-noir action film.  Filmed in 3D with stunning slow motion photography sequences, the film returns the celebrated character to the dark, visceral incarnation from John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra's revered comic strip.

DREDD will open on Friday, September 21st, 2012.

Teen Spirit DVD Review

Synopsis: Amber Pollock (Cassie Scerbo, Make It or Break It) is the queen bee of Eugene Ashley High School, and the only thing missing to her reign is the Prom Queen title. Having worked for years towards obtaining the crown and most popular girl status, Amber lets nothing and no one stand in her way. That bad behavior comes back to literally haunt her when a freak accident at Prom ends Amber's short, nearly-perfect life and, facing an unpleasant after-life, she is given the task that could save her soul to get the school's least popular girl to be voted Prom Queen. Amber is sure her future is sunk when she learns her charge is none other than Lisa Sommers (Lindsey Shaw, Pretty Little Liars), a shy girl who makes claymation films with her three best friends and whose fashion sense is not up to Amber's standards. As for Lisa herself, the last thing she wants is to be Prom Queen, but when Amber offers to help her get the attention of her crush, Nick (Chris Zylka), Lisa gives Amber the benefit of the doubt. Will a head-to-toe makeover and some confidence-building advice really be able to turn a shy and awkward teen into a high school social power player? Only Heaven knows!

Review: This one is an ABC Family movie that appears to be a nice one for tweens and high schoolers to view.  Usually when you see an ABC Family film, especially a non-rated one like this, its pretty safe.  This film has a ton of sex talk, drinking and other things that I really wish they wouldn't glamorize in film and TV so much.  They act like all teenagers are having sex, drinking and partying all the time and thats just not the case.  Now that aside, this is a cute movie.  It is definately a fun watch and is better for older kids or young adults.

With her Jean Seberg haircut and tomboy ways, Laure is immediately mistaken for a boy by the local kids, and decides to pass herself off as Mikael, a boy different enough to catch the attention of leader of the pack Lisa, who becomes smitten. At home with her parents and girlie younger sister, she is Laure: hanging out with her new pals and girlfriend, she is Mikael. Finding resourceful ways to hide her true self, Laure takes advantage of her new identity, as if the end of the summer would never reveal her unsettling secret.

Review: We love indie film here at the Legion.  Tomboy is a great tale of a girl that passes herself off as a boy over a summer.  This, of course, cannot last forever and this life that she has made for herself is bound to explode in her face, right?  She even has a girlfriend that she has made!  This film is a great exploration of the harsh realities of being a transgendered person and how deeply emotional that commitment can go.  We cannot recommend this one enough, its a fantastic film.

Rags to Riches: The Complete Series DVD Review

Synopsis: Before Glee, there was TV favorite Rags to Riches. When millionaire Nick Foley (Joseph Bologna) learns that his public "playboy" image could impede a highly profitable company merger he's trying to negotiate, he adopts five orphan girls (including Martin’s Tisha Campbell). Now, bachelor Nick must struggle between his time-consuming business commitments and the girls' need for a real father. Set in the early 60s, the cast performs musical numbers from the period which further the story lines of each episode. Episodes: Pilot, High Society, Foley vs. Foley, First Love, Business Is Business, Patty’s Mom, Bad Blood, Born to Ride, Vegas Rock, Once in a Lifeguard, That’s Cheating, Wilderness Blues, Dear Diary, Hunk in the House, Marva in the Key of Cee, Beauty and the Babe, Russian Holiday, A Very Foley Christmas, Guess Who’s Coming to Slumber?, Sweet Sixtee

Review: Rags to Riches is a typically crazy 1980s plot...a self-made rich man needs an image boost, so he adopts five orphans.  Sure, that happens every day.   This show, although it was short-lived, was absolutely charming.  Its so cool to see it released on DVD in its entirety.  I had completely forgotten about this one until now and it was a fun walk down memory lane to see it again.  Plus, its nice to have a show to watch with the kids that isn't full of sex, violence and the like.  This one is a great family show that is a must-own.

The episode list is as follows:

1. Rags to Riches ( Pilot) 9/Mar/87
2. Foley vs. Foley 22/Mar/87

G.I. Joe Renegades: Season One, Vol. 1 DVD Review

Synopsis: Soldiers ... heroes ... outlaws. On the run after being accused of crimes they didn't commit, six young G.I.s battle to clear their names -- and expose the real bad guys, COBRA Industries. The world thinks this giant corporation is good, but it's really run by evil people who want to rule the planet. It's up to these renegade Joes to stop COBRA, save the world and themselves.

Review: GI Joe Renegades is the newest incarnation of our beloved 80s action franchise.  This one airs on the HUB cable network.  The first thing that strikes me about this show is the drastically new animation style.  Its at first glance overly simplified, but once you readjust, its fantastically stylized and works perfectly with the action-tone of the show.

This one starts out with various army members, pre-organized team in a world where Cobra is a huge and beloved corporate entity, with a dark secret.  The new Renegades team includes Duke, Scarlett, Roadblock, Tunnel Rat, Snake Eyes and Ripcord.

I am a lifelong GI Joe fan and this is the best and most interesting take in a long time.  This one has fantastic voice acting, including talents Jason Marsden and Kevin Michael Richardson.

This DVD from Shout Factory!  collects the first seven episodes of the series.  Not bad for a partial season release.  We highly recommend this one!

Review: Gone Fishin' is a value-priced new blu-ray from Mill Creek.  This vintage comedy is a buddy flick that combines Joe Pesci and Danny Glover.  An unlikely duo, and thats half the charm of this one.  The comedy gets over the top, but these lovable actors manage to hold down the fort.

The improbable romance that blossoms between Billie and her tutor turns all of their lives - and Washington, D.C. - upside down!

Review: Born Yesterday is a great vintage comedy that stars Melanie Griffith as a dopey showgirl.   The supporting cast of John Goodman is always enjoyable.  This one is a cute love story that spans the ages.  The hair and talk is a little dated, but its fun.  And the best thing..this blu-ray is cheap!

Synopsis: THE MAISIE COLLECTION VOLUME 1 (1939 - 1941) Ann Sothern stars in her signature role – the unstoppable showgirl, Maisie Ravier – in the first of a two volume complete collection.

Review: The Warner Archive has brought us another great DVD collection, this time featuring the classic 1930s-40s southern belle character Maise.  Maise is a showgirl with a whole lot of spunk.  These films aren't necessarily the best thing you've ever seen, but collections like these are fantastic.  We get the first part of a great set of a serialized film franchise from the early days of cinema and all at a great price!  Only online from the Warner Archive.  The DVD includes the following classic films:

MAISIE (1939) Out of work and out of digs, a burlesque dancer ends up working as a maid at a ranch in Wyoming. This western romp comes tinged with a bit of noir, as a dark dame (Ruth Hussey) tries to lay a frame on the hunk of a ranch foreman. Newly remastered.
CONGO MAISIE (1940) John Carroll provides the beefcake to distract the wisecracking burlesque queen as she finds herself stuck inside an African adventure. It' time to head up the river with Maisie for an Apocalypse Never. "The hats. The hats!" Newly remastered.

GOLD RUSH MAISIE (1940) Maisie takes a trip to the heart of social injustice as she finds herself working alongside a Joadian clan of dustbowl refugees. With Lee Bowman and Virginia Weidler. Newly remastered.

MAISIE WAS A LADY (1941) Once again out-of-gigs-and-digs, Maisie plunges into a Comedy of Manors, cleaning house and stealing hearts deep inside high society. C. Aubrey Smith is the bristling butler determined to keep Maisie in her place, with fellow MGM series stars Lew Ayres (Dr. Kildare) and Maureen O'ullivan (Tarzan' Jane) waiting on the inside. Newly remastered.

RINGSIDE MAISIE (1941) This go-round finds Maisie getting stuck inside a boxing picture while trying to get to a gig in the Adirondacks. Future Sothern spouse Robert Sterling provides the pugilism, while Gene Murphy's coach/manager complicates matters with Virginia O'Brien completing the quadrangle.

Murdoch Mysteries Season 4 Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: Forensic sleuthing in the age of invention.  As seen on public television and based on novels by Maureen Jennings.

William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson, Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye) of the Toronto police department pushes the boundaries of Victorian-era criminal science to solve baffling murders in this smart, compelling series. Season 4 pits the kindhearted cop against a would-be vampire, a costumed killer, and ruthless mobsters, inspiring him to whip up a slew of innovative crime-fighting techniques along the way. But while Murdoch nabs the culprits with the help of politically ambitious inspector Thomas Brackenreid (Thomas Craig, Where the Heart Is) and eager constable George Crabtree (Jonny Harris, Hatching, Matching & Dispatching), he struggles to subdue his feelings for former sweetheart Dr. Julia Ogden (Gemini winner Hélène Joy, Durham County). Nominated for 25 Gemini Awards, Murdoch Mysteries is a good-humored twist on crime procedurals. Guest stars include Victor Garber (Alias, Titanic), Simon Williams (Upstairs, Downstairs), Peter Keleghan (The Red Green Show), and Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper in a cameo.

Review: British TV is a fantastic escape for us here at the Legion, because our shows in America end for the year and we're left with huge gaps.  DVD and Blu-ray releases like this from across the pond help us to keep up with some fantastic programming that we don't normally get.  This blu-ray set includes 13 episodes of this fantastic crime-comedy.   This show has some great mysteries, but a great amount of comic relief, much like the American series Monk.  Season 4 is one of the best yet.  Fans of this show will love it.  If you aren't familiar with this one its ok, you can jump right into this one without being lost, though we do recommend you go back and experience the entire series!

Monroe: Series 1 DVD Review

Synopsis: Dr. Gabriel Monroe (James Nesbitt, Murphy’s Law) is a neurosurgical genius with a quick wit and a heart to match his titanic ego. Following no rules but his own, Monroe infuriates colleagues and terrifies interns with his glib repartee and arrogant self-regard.

Pitting his formidable skills against high-risk medical emergencies is only one of Monroe’s challenges. He and his team must also navigate the toll that medicine takes on patients and doctors—especially when dealing with their personal lives. As slick as he is with a scalpel, Monroe struggles at home as a husband and father, and at work he clashes with brusque heart surgeon Dr. Jenny Bremner (Sarah Parish, The Pillars of the Earth).

With a dose of House’s dark humor and an infusion of humanity and warmth, Monroe is gripping medical drama at its best.

Review: We love british TV here at DVD Legion...and my wife loves medical shows.  It can be Scrubs or Grey's or House or E.R....its all good with her, which means its all good with me.  Monroe is a great character from over the pond that has a giant House-like ego.  Of course, much like House his ego is well-founded, not that it helps him get along better with his colleagues.  He's obsessed, rude, blunt and arrogant.  We love him!    We'd love to see more of this series and we highly recommend it!

Highlights of the 2012 Masters Tournament DVD Review

Synopsis: When the 76th Masters Tournament ended on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff, it was a 33-year-old Floridian named Bubba Watson who triumphed, shedding tears of joy in the warm embrace of his mother on the 10th green at Augusta National Golf Club.

Heading into the weekend, Fred Couples was the surprise leader as world number one Luke Donald and four-time winner Tiger Woods struggled to find their rhythm. On 'moving day' it was three-time winner Phil Mickelson who lit up Augusta National with a sensational second nine that left him one shot behind Tournament leader Peter Hanson going into Sunday.

But it was Watson and South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen who would emerge from a diverse and volatile leader board the final day. At 10-under-par 278, Watson ended regulation tied with Oosthuizen, who earlier in the day had recorded the only double eagle on the par-5 second hole in the Tournament's history. At the end, the defining shot wasn't Oosthuizen's. Rather, it was Watson's high, hooking - and improbable - wedge shot from 164 yards through the overhanging trees to the right of the 10th fairway that safely finished 15 feet from the hole. Two putts later, Watson was the 2012 Masters champion.

Said Watson after winning the Green Jacket: "I never made it this far in my dreams." This finale was a moment to enjoy for sports fans around the world and this DVD provides the official story of how the Masters was decided in such dramatic fashion.

Review: Do you enjoy golf?  If so, then you no doubt love the Masters Tournament.   This great new DVD features two hours of the best moments from this years event.  This is a far better way for me to enjoy sports, as I have such a busy watching schedule.  This highlight DVD is a great way to experience the Masters.

The special features include:
  • Outdoor green jacket ceremony
  • Champion's press conference
  • Unedited honorary starters
  • Press conference with golf greats Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, and Jack Nicklaus

Memorial Day Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: When SSgt. Kyle Vogel leaves a handwritten letter on the seat of his car, grabs a pistol and steps into a Minnesota forest, we wonder who he is and what he's about to do. Flash back a few months as Vogel lies wounded in a hospital near Anbar Province, Iraq. The night before he's due to return to combat, his doctor, Lt. Kelly Tripp, presses him on why he's so obsessed with collecting battle souvenirs. Kyle proceeds to tell her what happened on Memorial Day, 1993, when, as a 13-year old boy, he discovered his Grandpa Bud's WWII footlocker. Though reluctant to talk about the war, Bud, who served with the 82nd Airborne, strikes a deal with Kyle: "Pick any three objects, and I'll tell you the story behind each one." As we see Bud's WWII tales from Europe, we also see how Kyle's experiences in Iraq have paralleled them-and how that day on the porch will affect how he ultimately deals with the losses, regrets and moral dilemmas that unite all soldiers across wars and generations

Review: One of the most difficult things about war is not only trying to stay alive, but trying to keep from losing your mind and altering your perception forever.  Memorial Day shows us the lives of a grandfather, WWII vet, and his grandson and their experiences during and after conflict and how they deal with the aftermath of what they've seen/done and trying to return to "normal" life.   This is a great film and we recommend not only for vets and their families, but for everyone.

Goon Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: Not content with his job as a bouncer, Doug Glatt (Seann William Scott) dreams of a more rewarding job and gaining his parents respect. When a chance encounter with an on-ice thug leads to a fistfight that Doug easily wins, the on-looking coach sees Doug's potential, in spite of his lack of any hockey playing ability. Joining the team and with the encouragement of his best friend (Jay Baruchel), Doug quickly becomes a rising star. Soon he'll have the opportunity to face-off against the infamous league thug, Ross Rhea (Liev Schreiber), perhaps finally land a girlfriend and stick to a job he enjoys. Now all he needs to do is learn to skate.

Review: This film banks off of the fantastic cast.  Sean William Scott strays from his "stiffler" roots and puts in a great comedic-drama performance.  The support from Liev Schreiber as hockey's bad boy bully is a fantastic addition.  He plays badass with style.  I expected this one to either be over the top or just a huge miss, to be honest, but it really surprised me by turning out a film with heart.   We can definately recommend.
