Synopsis: This is a sequel to the current Harry Potter Hogwarts Challenge game. The player is back at Hogwarts, attending years four, five, and six, and engaging in activities incorporating elements from the fourth, fifth, and sixth films. Because the fiction for these books and films explores areas outside Hogwarts, to make the new game more interesting, we propose that gameplay include such areas as well. Thus, whilst the Harry Potter Hogwarts Challenge game focused primarily on classroom gameplay, the sequel would feature classroom gameplay and activities which take place in Harrys world outside Hogwarts. As with the previous game, the player must successfully complete the activities associated with a particular year before moving on to the next, and each gameplay activity will be set up through establishing shots/location clips from the films, with narration providing any instructions or other information relevant to that activity. Students finish each year and advance to the next by completing a year End Challenge inspired by a pivotal event from each of films four, five, and six, respectively. The first player to complete each activity for all three years will be allowed to play a bonus activity, and will win the game. All you need is a DVD player and remote to play. No game board required. 1-4 players 14 activities

Review: This is the second DVD Harry Potter game to come out. The first was Hogwart's Challenge. This game features movie clips from the 4th through the 6th Harry Potter films and has 14 activities in all. I wasn't certain about this whole DVD game situation, but after playing with my kids for awhile, I'm sold!

One of the things that annoys me as a consumer is video game consoles. I don't want to keep up with the Jones' and buy every system known to man. especially at the $300-$500 price tag. When a game gets released that we can buy for a low amount (less than any new release video game) and I can play it right on my DVD player?! Well, thats a winner! Also, I enjoy that this game has actual activities, rather than a 3D world that you get immersed in like many games of today. This game was a lot of fun and I haven't had fun playing games for some time.

The kids both enjoyed it. They are ages 5 and 7, so you can play this one with the entire family. It was a blast and a fun way to celebrate the new Harry Potter film coming to DVD/ Blu-Ray! I highly recommend this one for a Xmas stocking stuffer!
