Review: The Circuit is a film about the relationship between father and daughter. The car racing is really just a backdrop. The basic premise of this film is that the main character Kylie is a new rising star in the racing world. Her father abandoned her to her aunt after her mother passed away, so they have a very strained relationship and haven't even spoken in two years.
Kylie becomes more and more involved in racing and at a very seemingly convenient moment her father shows up with advice. Kylie ignores him and presses on. We find out quickly that the promoter is trying to expolit Kylie and her father, but her father will have nothing to do with it. He's trying to do right by his daughter for once. In the midst of this Kylie also falls for a teammate and some romantic sparks begin to fly.
This is a nice, albeit predictable, film that does entertain. It was a nice watch and actually turned out better than I thought it would. I would recommend, especially for tweens and above.
