The New Adventures of Old Christine: The Complete Third Season DVD Review
Synopsis: Emmy® Award winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld) continues to shine in this comedy from Kari Lizer (Will & Grace) as divorced working mom Christine Campbell, successfully juggling the daily stresses of motherhood and owning a women's gym with her best friend, Barb (Wanda Sykes, Curb Your Enthusiasm). Life got more complicated when she met her ex-husband's new girlfriend, a nice, impossible-to-hate woman also named Christine -- "new" Christine. When "old" Christine sees her ex has moved on with his life, she realizes it may be time to take that same leap. Season three features recurring guest stars Blair Underwood (Dirty Sexy Money, Something New, L.A. Law) as Mr. Harris, a teacher at her son's school whom Christine has a romantic relationship with; Dave Foley (NewsRadio, The Kids in the Hall); and Andy Richter (Andy Richter Controls the Universe). Plus, in a hilarious turn, Jason Alexander (Seinfeld) guest stars as Christine's gynecologist.
Review:The actors from Seinfeld have felt that curse for far too long. Finally, someone has broken out of that mold and found some post-Jerry success! Julia Louis-Dreyfus always was the best bet. She's funny, likable and attractive, so there really isn't a lose in this situation.
The New Adventures of Old Christine is a dysfunctional sitcom that looks at life after your husband replaces you with a younger woman. In this case, a young girl named Christine, hence the title of the show. The third season of this show has really hit a fantastic stride, since we know all of the characters so well, including Christine, the laughs roll easily and often.
If you haven't seen this show, you need to pick up all three seasons on DVD! If you have, well then you already know why you should own this DVD set!
