Synopsis: In this charming critically acclaimed tale of first love, Lloyd, an eternal optimist, seeks to capture the heart of Diane, an unattainable high school beauty and straight-A student. He surprises just about everyone – including himself – when she returns the sentiment.

Review: This charming 1980s love story brought John Cusack into our hearts and helped to define him as an actor with staying power. If you've never seen Say Anything, you owe it to yourself to pick up this deluxe new 20th Anniversary release! If you are familiar with the film, then you already know you need to pick this up. Its full of extras and has one of the best teen romance movies of the 1980s...and thats saying something! There isn't a question about whether you should purchase this release..its more whether to get the DVD or the Blu-Ray.

I have said it over and over again, you cannot upconvert something. If you have an old 80s film, or even a 90s film, its going to be nearly impossible to actually make it high definition without a substantial amount of grain. The digital noise reduction process wasn't too bad on this release, but as with all others there is a ton of grain. If you want your colors to pop more, then this release is great. If you actually want a completely clear picture, then the DVD may be more your speed. I personally want to upgrade my entire DVD library to blu-ray, so the sacrifice is worth it.

The sound is DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 (as well as English Dolby Surround Sound, Spanish and French mono). There isn't much for major sound effects, so the change isn't that noticible.
