Review: Ellery Queen is a classic 'who-dunnit' mystery series from 1975-76. It ran on NBC for just one season, but it hasn't been easily forgotten. The lead was played by Jim Hutton, father of Leverage star Timothy Hutton. The short-lived mystery show would present the readers with clues to various crimes and we were challenged to solve the mystery!
The show is based on novels from the 1930s. The mysteries and acting still holds up quite nicely and the answers to the mysteries can be quite challenging. The show is very enjoyable. You can now own the complete series on DVD! Its a great buy.
The special features include: Series pilot "Too Many Suspects,” Ellery Queen interview with co-creator William Link, collectible booklet with essays and episode summaries
