This lavishly produced and critically-acclaimed screen adaptation of the Tony Award®-winning Broadway sensation tells the life-affirming story of Tevye (Academy Award®-nominee Topol, For Your Eyes Only), a poor but soulful milkman whose love, pride and faith help him face the oppression of turn-of-the-century Czarist Russia. Review: The beloved classic musical Fiddler on the Roof is coming to blu-ray for the very first time! This is a two-disc set that includes both the new blu-ray edition of the film and the DVD. The price point for this is beyond worth it, even if you don't yet own a blu-ray player. Its a great investment for the future. The film speaks for itself....the legendary cast, the great story and of course the phenominal musical numbers! How does it look on blu-ray? The quick answer is great. Its a bit soft at times, but the colors really pop and it has fantastic sound quality. Overall, I'd say its one of the best transfers I've seen on a film this old!
