Once Upon A Time In Mexico Blu-Ray Review
Synopsis: Leaping back into action, gun-slinging, guitar-toting hero "El Mariachi" is back in town in ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO, as director Robert Rodriguez delivers the epic final chapter of his pulp Western trilogy. Starring Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Johnny Depp, Mickey Rourke, Eva Mendes, Enrique Iglesias and Willem Dafoe ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO is a full-frontal assault.
Review: Once Upon A Time In Mexico is the third and final film in the Mariachi trilogy (aka the Mexico trilogy, aka the Desperado trilogy). The first two, El Mariachi and Desperado, are together on a blu-ray release (see our review on this site).
Once Upon A Time In Mexico is a masterpiece of cult action. It not only follows-up the story of El Mariachi from Desperado and El Mariachi, but also introduces Johnny Depp in one of this most underrated roles as a CIA agent. This film is absolutely fantastic! The high-definition blu-ray transfer is clean, clear and free from grain. Its suberb. We highly recommend this one.
The special features on this blu-ray include: Deleted Scenes with Optional Commentary, Ten-Minute Flick School, Inside Troublemaker Studios, Ten-Minute COOKING School, Film is Dead: An Evening with Robert Rodriguez, The Anti-Hero's Journey, The Good, the Bad and the Bloody: Inside KNB FX, Robert Rodriguez Audio Commentary, MovieIQ and The Cutting Room.
