Review: In an era when adventure was meant only for men, Amelia Earhart was a poineer in aviation. In this new biopic, Hilary Swank plays Earhart and her performance is fantastic. I'm not generally a fan of Swank, but she really drove this one home.
The movie doesn't just chronicle her triumphant first trip across the Atlantic back in 1928. In that trip, of course, she was just a passenger not a pilot, but it did make her the first woman to make the trip. Her later 1937 flight around the world would be when she would eventually disappear. The movie takes her entire life into account and gives us a great biopic on this fantastic woman.
The DVD is great for those without a DVD player. The blu-ray is definately the way to go, if you have the technology. The high-definition is the most enjoyable way to watch this and any film. I recommend this for anyone that enjoys biopics or even just a good romance movie.
