Things go awry when he falls for a librarian he tries to divert from exposing him while he inadvertently enriches the town with a love of music.
Review: The Music Man is a fantastic vintage film. There was an era when film was really creative and interesting. The Music Man is one of those classics that never dies. Unfortunately, when the DVD was released they really destroyed the color and picture. Does the new blu-ray release correct any of these issues? ......read on...
It needs to be kept in mind that the film is almost 50 years old, so what can we expect? Well, I was amazed at the high-quality blu-ray transfer. The color is all cleaned-up and the edges look great. The only downside to high-definition is that it makes everything SO clear. In fact, it does take away some of the movie magic. The intro scene on the train is very clearly a blue screen shot.
This is a great blu-ray release. The Music Man is definately one that should be in every collection. Its family friendly and great for kids.
