Disney Tangled (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo) Review
Synopsis: Disney presents a new twist on one of the most hilarious and hair-raising tales ever told. Your whole family will get tangled up in the fun, excitement and adventure of this magical motion picture.
When the kingdom's most wanted - and most charming - bandit Flynn Rider hides in a mysterious tower, the last thing he expects to find is Rapunzel, a spirited teen with an unlikely superpower - 70 feet of magical golden hair! Together, the unlikely duo sets off on a fantastic journey filled with surprising heroes, laughter and suspense.
Let your hair down and get ready to cheer for "Tangled." Bursting with never-before-seen bonus features, it's even more enchanting on Blu-ray Hi-Def.
Review: The Princess and the Frog wasn't too great of a film, so when we heard Disney was making another "Princess" movie and utilizing the classic storybook character of Rapunzel we were skeptical to be sure. Fortunately, Disney hit a home run!
Tangled turns out to be the best 2D Disney feature we've seen since the Little Mermaid. Its charming and delicate on one side and absolutely hilarious and fun on the other. The film is so well-rounded that my all-boy 8 year old boy absolutely enjoyed it. This one is great for the little princess AND prince in your life! Mom and Dad enjoyed themselves too! This one is for the whole family.
We originally took our kids to this one in the theater and saw it in digital on the big screen and when we put in the blu-ray the high-definition image was just as we remembered it! It looks absolutely stunning and really adds to the enjoyment and richness of the film.
The special features on this set include:
DVD
• 2 original storybook openings
• 50th Animated Countdown
2-Disc BD Combo Pack (BD+DVD)
• DVD features plus
• 3 deleted scenes
• The Making of a Fairy Tale
• 2 extended songs
• 9 Theatrical Teasers

Green Lantern: Emerald Knights
Coming June 7, 2011 FROM WARNER HOME VIDEO
Primetime TV Stars Nathan Fillion, Elisabeth Moss Headline Voice Cast;
Available as Blu-rayTM Combo Pack & DVD
BURBANK, CA, (March 30, 2011) – The origins of the ultimate intergalactic police force are revealed across six interlocking tales of the legendary Green Lantern Corps in the all-new Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, the next entry in the popular, ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original Movies. Building up to the release of the highly anticipated live action film, Green Lantern, in theatres June 17, Green Lantern: Emerald Knights arrives on Blu-Ray™, DVD, On Demand and for Download June 7, 2011 from Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation.
The full-length animated Green Lantern: Emerald Knights will be distributed by Warner Home Video as a Blu-Ray™ Combo Pack and DVD. The film will also be available On Demand and for Download.
Green Lantern: Emerald Knights weaves six legendary stories of the Green Lantern Corps’ rich mythology around preparations for an attack by an ancient enemy. As the battle approaches, Hal Jordan mentors new recruit Arisia in the history of the Green Lantern Corps, telling tales of Avra (the first Green Lantern) and several of Hal’s comrades – including Abin Sur, Kilowog, Laira and Mogo. In the end, Arisia must rise to the occasion to help Hal, Sinestro and the entire Green Lantern Corps save the universe from the destructive forces of Krona.
Primetime television stars Nathan Fillion (Castle) and Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men) lead a diverse array of performers as the voices behind the Green Lantern Corps.
Fillion provides the voice of the animated film’s central character, Hal Jordan, the human Green Lantern assigned to Sector 2814 (which includes Earth). Fillion has starred in several primetime television series including his current hit Castle as well as Desperate Housewives, Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He has also developed a popular cult following as a pair of Joss Whedon’s heroic captains: Capt. Mal Reynolds in the space-western series Firefly and follow-up film, Serenity; and Captain Hammer in Whedon’s internet sensation Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. Fillion returns to the DC Universe after his successful turn as Steve Trevor in the animated film Wonder Woman, and has performed voice work on the animated series Justice League, Robot Chicken, The Venture Bros., and several Halo video games.
Moss gives voice to Arisia, a young recruit forced into her first mission on just her third day as a Green Lantern. Prior to starring as the ever-evolving Peggy Olson in AMC’s ground-breaking series Mad Men, Moss was featured on The West Wing, Invasion and Picket Fences. Moss has been active in voiceovers for animation with previous roles in Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs, Freakazoid! and It’s Spring Training, Charlie Brown!.
The voice cast for Green Lantern: Emerald Knights also features actor/spoken word artist Henry Rollins (Sons of Anarchy, The Henry Rollins Show) as Kilowog, Jason Isaacs (the Harry Potter films) as Sinestro, legendary professional wrestler “Rowdy” Roddy Piper (They Live) as Bolphunga, Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy) as Abin Sur, Kelly Hu (The Vampire Diaries) as Laira and Wade Williams (Prison Break) as Deegan. Radio Hall of Fame commentator/talk show host Michael Jackson voices the esteemed Guardian, Ganthet.
Bruce Timm is executive producer of Green Lantern: Emerald Knights. Directors are Lauren Montgomery, Jay Oliva and Christopher Berkeley. The six interlocking tales are penned by comic book luminaries Geoff Johns, Dave Gibbons, Peter J. Tomasi, Eddie Berganza, Alan Burnett, Todd Casey and Michael Green & Marc Guggenheim.
“Green Lantern: Emerald Knights is filled with wonderful backstory and exposition on the Green Lantern Corps going far beyond Hal Jordan, making this film a perfect complement to the live-action major motion picture, Green Lantern,” said Hersin Magante, WHV Marketing Director, Family & Animation.
Green Lantern: Emerald Knights Blu-Ray™ Combo Pack has over 2 1/2 hours of exciting content, including:
· Feature film (est. 75 min)
· Sneak Peak at Batman: Year One, the next DC Universe Animated Original Movie

· Featurette: “Why Green Lantern Matters: The Talent of Geoff Johns” – Geoff Johns is a force to be reckoned with. He’s not only the Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment, he’s a New York Times bestselling writer with a fresh and vibrant storytelling perspective. Johns discusses his contemporary take on the Green Lantern character and why that character resonates in our culture.
· Pod: From Comic Book to Screen: Abin Sur – Take a peek into Geoff John’s “Green Lantern Secret Origin” book which, for the first time, showed fans what really happened to Abin Sur before he crashed landed on Earth, and passed his ring to Hal Jordan.
· Pod: Beautiful … But Deadly – From Comic Book to Screen: Laira Omoto – Green Lantern: Emerald Knights again creatively weaved a riveting comic book short story into the
intricate plot of the film while introducing the honorable Green Lantern, Laira Omoto. Known as one of the Green Lantern Corps’ fiercest warriors, this mini-featurette takes a deeper look into the history and origin of this humanoid marital artist and her
family feud with the Golden Dragon!

The Night Class was intended to end a long history of conflict by promoting a peaceful coexistence between human beings and vampires. As Guardians, Yuki and her childhood friend Zero are tasked with protecting the coexistence of the Day Class and the Night Class. Review: Viz has released this great fantasy anime series in a complete collection, which is uncut 13 episodes. In reality there is a second series, Vampire Knight Guilty, which we hope they will also release soon! This set is fantastic, its over 5 hours of one of the coolest anime we've seen in awhile. The balance and harmony between the vampires is breaking and its up to Yuki and Zero to keep the peace. This one has great action and drama with fantastic voice-over acting. Its a complete win.

Scary Movie 4: Unrated & Uncensored Blu-Ray Review
Synopsis: The Scary Movie gang is back for their funniest, most fearless installment yet. This time, the lovable, dim-witted Cindy (Anna Faris) and her overheated pal Brenda (Regina Hall) return to help clueless hero Tom (Craig Bierko) save the world from a ruthless alien invasion. In true Scary Movie tradition, the story weaves through a series of hilarious and twisted parodies of movies like War of the Worlds, The Grudge, The Village, and Saw. In Scary Movie 4, nothing and we mean NOTHING is off limits!
Review: Scary Movie 4 is without a doubt the best of the four Scary Movie films. This one stars Anna Faris again but now includes the huge talent of Craig Bierko. This one spoofed everything from War of the Worlds to Saw and did it masterfully. I think if you've wanted to see this by now you have, so we'll get into the big question..the high-definition transfer..how does this one hold up? Well, I can say with great pleasure that the picture looks amazing. The skin tones are great and very detailed and the colors on the clothing really pop. There is no evident grain to be seen in any of the dark or light scenes. This is a great version of a hilarious film. The blu-ray also includes TONS of bonus features. Winning!

Who Do You Think You Are? Season One DVD Review
Synopsis: To know who you are, you have to know where you came from. In this fascinating reality series, seven celebrities share their life-altering discoveries. Working with genealogists, historians, and researchers, they travel the world to uncover the secrets and surprises in their family trees.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s (Sex and the City) search leads back to the Salem witch trials. Dallas Cowboys legend Emmitt Smith follows his slave ancestors to Benin. Lisa Kudrow (Friends) learns the truth of her great-grandmother’s fate in the Holocaust. Tony® winner Matthew Broderick (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Glory) traces his family to battlefields in France and America. Brooke Shields (Suddenly Susan) unearths her royal connections. Oscar® winner Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking) explores the racy life of her grandmother. And Emmy® -winning director Spike Lee (Do the Right Thing, Malcolm X) meets a relative he didn’t know he had.
Intriguing, moving, and ultimately uplifting, this series proves that genealogy is more than a pastime. It’s a journey through history that changes everything.
Review: Geneology has become a huge rage since people realized years ago that they could use the internet to not only research, but to connect with long-lost relatives. The show "Who Do You Think You Are?" has been a huge hit overseas in Europe and Australia and now its been franchised out to the USA on NBC!
This DVD represents the complete first season. The positives of this show? Its really, really interesting to see a normal person's family history traced back, but to shed some light on the backround of celebrities is really fun. It humanizes these famous people and at times shows a very emotional side as their pasts unveil some jaw dropping revelations!
The negatives? They're very few to be honest. The episodes are puffed a bit with teases on what is coming up and flashbacks of what has already been revealed in each episode. The episodes should probably be a lot shorter due to this, but its really a minor gripe. Overall, this is a great show. The second season has just begun to air, so this is a great time to get caught up.

Stand By Me Blu-Ray Review
Synopsis: In a small woodsy Oregon town, a group of friends--sensitive Gordie (Wil Wheaton), tough guy Chris (River Phoenix), flamboyant Teddy (Corey Feldman), and scaredy-cat Vern (Jerry O'Connell)--are in search of a missing teenager's body. Wanting to be heroes in each other's and their hometown's eyes, they set out on an unforgettable two-day trek that turns into an odyssey of self-discovery. They sneak smokes, tell tall tales, cuss 'cause it's cool and band together when the going gets tough. When they encounter the town's knife-wielding hoods who are also after the body, the boys discover a strength they never knew they had. Stand By Me is a rare and special film about friendship and the indelible experiences of growing up. Filled with humor and suspense, Stand By Me is based on the novella 'The Body' by Stephen King.
Review: Stand By Me is one of those iconic films that has been shown over and over and over again on television. In fact, I first saw it on television on a Sunday afternoon, rather than the theater. It was possibly one of my first losses of innocense as a child. Stephen King would be responsible for a few of those for me, lol. There are a lot of films out there about youth and the tween to teen time period and the trouble to be found with your friends during the process of you all growing up, but none quite so full of substance as this one. It shows that Stephen King really does have legit writing talent. Too bad he wastes it.
You've probably seen this film already, unless you live under a rock, so I'll get to the important part..the blu-ray high-definition transfer. How does it look? Does it hold up?! The answer in a word..yep. Is it perfect and absolutely crisp? NO, its an older film so its a little soft and we get a little grain here or there, but overall its a wonderful version!

Synopsis: Facing eviction from his parents home on his 30th birthday, a socially awkward guys meets the girl of his dreams and finally grows up.
Review: This ackward, but adorable film about a rather "special" man boy that still lives with his parents at age 30. He meets the girl of his dreams and his journey to grow-up begins. This one was a great ride of ackward situations and bumbling idiocity that rivals Juno and Napoleon Dynamite! Definately recommend.

Synopsis: Reporter Valerie March goes undercover inside Sugar State Woman’s Prison to expose a prostitution ring run by the warden. But all hell breaks loose when her fellow inmates decide to take bloody, unforgettable revenge on their captors. Starring Jack Hill, Tura Satana and Kitten Natividad.
Review: This film is one of the best tributes to the 70s grindhouse-era sexploitation films that I've seen. In recent years a lot of people have tried and tried to give a proper tribute, but this one is sweaty and campy and full of scantily clad women in prison, fighting their way to freedom and revenge. Loved this one.

Every Day Blu-Ray Review
Synopsis: Liev Schreiber (Salt) heads an all-star cast in this warm and wise comic drama as Ned, a loving husband and devoted father dealing with life's curveballs. He's got a stressed-out wife (Helen Hunt, As Good As It Gets) an independent teenage son (Ezra Miller, City Island), and an embittered father-in-law (Brian Dennehy, Silverado) who's turning his home upside down. Ned's job writing a scandalous TV series for a demanding boss (Eddie Izzard, Valkyrie) is unfulfilling, and late night rewrites with a sexy co-worker (Carla Gugino, Entourage) might just push him over the deep end. This modern family story by Nip/Tuck producer/writer Richard Levine is filled with heart, humor and life's unexpected twists that teach Ned that marriage and parenthood don’t always go according to the script.
Review: This film comes out of the gate with a great start in the way of cast. It features Liev Schreiber in the lead role, which is long overdue, and a supporting cast including Carla Gugino, the great Helen Hunt and the wildly entertaining talent of Eddie Izzard.
We've seen this tale before...a number of times, actually. Only this time, it is done with an unassumptive and easy going attitude that doesn't push us into feeling a certain way about the actions of the characters. This one is about marriage and the tough choices that have to be made. This couple (Hunt and Schreiber) are coming to terms with their newly out gay son and the stagnation in their own lives. This was a great watch and was rather refreshing.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold - Season One, Part Two DVD Review
Synopsis: Batman conquers past, present and future evil in a fantastic double-disc set. Batman and his DC Comics Super Hero comrades swoop into action with more amazing adventures from the debut season of the smart, hip TV series! This exciting 2-Disc Collection features Batman and allies Aquaman, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Robin and Dr. Fate fighting foes in incredible showdowns. "Bats" even partners with another legendary detective: Sherlock Hlomes! Each diabolical villain from the tuneful Music Meister to the annoying Bat-Mite, the deadly Gentleman Gost or the impassive Equinox requoers a unique skill to defeat, and with Batman's cunning, evil will smashed like a bug. Journey through justice with the hero who cracks the case, sometimes cracks a joke but rarely cracks a smile in 13 Action-Packed Episodes.
Review: Batman: Brave and the Bold is the Cartoon Network follow-up to the 2004 cartoon 'The Batman'. Ever since Batman: The Animated Series the Batman shows have become increasingly lighter-hearted. The Batman was too light for some, although it looks rather dark compared to Brave, and this new one is really a campy homage to the golden age of comics. This fact is odd to me, since crew from the show came out and mocked the adult fanbase for being nerdy "baby men" and stating the cartoon isn't for us...and yet the entire thing is a tribute to comic books that kids just don't care about or understand. Hmmm. Confused much on your target audience? Thanks to a lot of that mockery the show hasn't gotten the reception you'd expect a Batman show to get. The show has since announced its cancellation after season three. I think this one will find legs on DVD down the road, and become a cult-goodie, much like Batman Beyond did.
This new DVD set is the second half of season one collected in a very nice and attractive case. The 13 episode DVD is great, but it does include one downside...no extras! This is still a great release for the money and is a necessity for any fan of the show or Batman completist.
The episodes on this DVD set include:
1) Mystery in Space!
2) Trials Of The Demon!
3) Night Of The Huntress!
4) Menace Of The Conqueror Caveman!
5) The Color Of Revenge!
6) Legends of the Dark Mite!

8) Duel Of The Double Crossers!
9) The Last Bat On Earth!

SYNOPSIS
In the spring of 1980, the Mariel boatlift brought thousands of Cuban refugees to the sun-washed avenues of Miami in search of the American dream. From acclaimed director Brian DePalma, Scarface is the rags-to-riches story of Tony Montana (Al Pacino), who finds wealth, power and passion beyond his wildest dreams…at a price he never imagined. Tony Montana’s meteoric rise, lavish life and soul-destroying fall anchor an epic film that inspired a worldwide following. Pacino is at his most memorable as Montana, blasting his way to the top of Miami’s drug underworld in a bravura performance.

Kevin Spacey goes to washington in...CASINO JACK!
Win a DVD copy of this shocking but true story about political greed and fraudulent actions on April 5
Kevin Spacey stars as real-life DC lobbyist Jack Abramoff in Casino Jack landing on Blu-ray and DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment on April 5th.
The film revolves around Abramoff, an eccentric political mastermind who gets caught up in a mega-scandal with Michael Scanlon (played by Barry Pepper, also seen in this year’s “True Grit”). While promoting the Indian gambling industry, Jack receives his title nickname, “Casino Jack,” and soon gets caught up with pal Michael in what was “touted as the biggest political impropriety to hit the Beltway since Watergate,” according to the film’s director George Hickenlooper.
All Jack wants is an affluent lifestyle, and he goes to every extreme to achieve it, even the illegal. When Jack and Michael partner up with a mob-connected friend, played by Jon Lovitz (“Saturday Night Live”), hell breaks loose, and the trio are in over their heads, getting mixed up in murders and assassins. Kelly Preston (“Old Dogs”) and Rachelle Lefevre (“Twilight”) also co-star in the film that Roger Ebert calls “stunning,” and The Huffington Post has described as “sheer brilliance.” Spacey, a two-time Oscar winner, was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance.

The Zombie Farm DVD Review
Synopsis: A small town in the South is terrorized when Zombies and Voodoo collide
Review: Zombie Farm is a very deceptive film. I don't mean this in a negative way. We're used to seeing the same old horror-core zombie gore fest and if thats what you're after then Zombie Farm is not for you. This film, at it's core, is a social commentary on domestic violence! Yeah. It really works, though. This film uses the zombie backdrop to really push the social views and it works. I really ended up enjoying this one....apparently it does work to package everything with zombies!

A Film Unfinished DVD Review
Synopsis: Using footage completely unparalled a film unfinished provides new insight into the nazi propaganda machine further exposing an agenda already known to be deceitful beyond our greatest beliefs. At the end of wwii 60 minutes of raw film having sat undistrurbed in an east german archive. Studio: Oscilloscope Pictures Release Date: 03/08/2011 Starring: Alexander Beyer Run time: 90 minutes Rating: Nr
Review: A Film Unfinished is quite possibly the most important documentary that exists about World War II. You see a lot of history through newsreels and various interviews..mostly about the actual battle aspects of the war and the concentration camps, but very little actual footage about daily life. This new documentary reveals a never before seen and unfinished nazi propaghanda documentary about the Warsaw Ghetto and the life of the jews that lived there.
I won't lie, I was absolutely blown away by what I saw here. Not that what I saw was shocking, but that the footage exists! The nazis carefully crafted scenes to disparage the jews and this raw footage shows the outtakes of these scenes, proving that they were staged. The interviews with people that were present during filming really round out the potency of this film. This one is an absolute MUST SEE!
The special features on this DVD include: Interview with author and film researcher Adrian Wood, Scholar Michael Berenbaum on A Film Unfinished, Death Mills (1945): A short film by Billy Wilder, includes some of the first footage shot from within concentration camps post-liberation, Study Guide: For educators and students to gain a deeper understanding of the themes and lessons in the film and an Exclusive essay by author and film scholar Annette Insdorf.

Colin and Brad’s TWO MAN GROUP is a riotously funny, interactive, and completely improvised tour de force. Review: The American version of the show Whose Line Is It Anyway? was an enormous success for a long while. The show, hosted by Drew Carey, was absolutely hilarious. Carey wasn't so much on the funny, but all the players were. Two of the best players, Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, took their act on the road and have this great live interactive improv stageshow.
This DVD chronicles their show and the level of audience participation. There are a few bits from Whose Line and quite a few new angles, but all of it is absolutely wonderful. If you're a fan of Whose Line and improv comedy this one is an absolute win. WINNING!

The Inside Job Blu-Ray Review
Synopsis: From Academy Award®-nominated filmmaker, Charles Ferguson (NO END IN SIGHT), comes INSIDE JOB, the first film to expose the shocking truth behind the economic crisis of 2008. The global financial meltdown, at a cost of over $20 trillion, resulted in millions of people losing their homes and jobs. Through extensive research and interviews with major financial insiders, politicians and journalists, INSIDE JOB traces the rise of a rogue industry and unveils the corrosive relationships which have corrupted politics, regulation and academia.
Review: The Inside Job is a new documentary by filmmaker Charles Ferguson, with the narration done by actor Matt Damon. The tactic of using a known star to narrate your film is an age-old one to create familiarity and comfort in the viewer, and the use of Damon does just that. It helps to relax you into feeling as though you're watching something worthwhile from the first moment. And worthwhile it is indeed.
Ferguson asks the tough questions of a number of financial and cultural figures as he tries to uncover why our systems have blended with no regulation. How the banks and wall street and our government have become to closely intertwined that they not only rely on each other, but bail each other out...and with little to no consequences.
This is a phenominal documentary. Ferguson is a bit less harsh than Michael Moore, so he may appeal to a wider audience and you can really get past the antics and listen to the facts and make some decisions regarding the behind the scenes workings of our financial system.

Review: Do you enjoy Korean action films? The Man From Nowhere was the biggest box office draw of last year in Korea. Now, we're getting it released here in America on blu-ray. I grew up watching bad martial arts films, but they were primarily American made. The art of the action film was really perfected overseas with a lot of little know gems. This new one is an instant classic.
This film features the amazing talent of Won Bin, who is a fantastic martial arts star. The film, originally titled "Mister" in Korea, is the same formula we always see...blood-soaked, ultra-violent revenge! The film is well-made and fast-paced action joy. It looks fantastic in high-definition and really is one of the best action films we've had the pleasure of viewing in years. We highly recommend this one.

Four Lions Blu-Ray Review
Synopsis: A whip-smart, slapstick comedy, Chris Morris’ Four Lions takes aim at Jihadi suicide bombers and illuminates the war on terror through satire and farce. Follow five inept aspiring terrorists on their quest to strike a blow, and how they demonstrate that terrorism may be about ideology, but it can also be about idiots.
Review: Four Lions is another one of those films that perhaps should've carried a more interesting title. It really throws you off to the quality that is this dark, dark comedy. At it's core Four Lions is about four idiot british would-be terrorists that fumble their way through a plot of destruction. The film is whitty, well thought out comedy that really entertains. This is one of those you just have to see to believe. If you enjoy political and social satire, thats a plus with this one.
