Kevin Spacey goes to washington in...CASINO JACK!
Win a DVD copy of this shocking but true story about political greed and fraudulent actions on April 5
Kevin Spacey stars as real-life DC lobbyist Jack Abramoff in Casino Jack landing on Blu-ray and DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment on April 5th.
The film revolves around Abramoff, an eccentric political mastermind who gets caught up in a mega-scandal with Michael Scanlon (played by Barry Pepper, also seen in this year’s “True Grit”). While promoting the Indian gambling industry, Jack receives his title nickname, “Casino Jack,” and soon gets caught up with pal Michael in what was “touted as the biggest political impropriety to hit the Beltway since Watergate,” according to the film’s director George Hickenlooper.
All Jack wants is an affluent lifestyle, and he goes to every extreme to achieve it, even the illegal. When Jack and Michael partner up with a mob-connected friend, played by Jon Lovitz (“Saturday Night Live”), hell breaks loose, and the trio are in over their heads, getting mixed up in murders and assassins. Kelly Preston (“Old Dogs”) and Rachelle Lefevre (“Twilight”) also co-star in the film that Roger Ebert calls “stunning,” and The Huffington Post has described as “sheer brilliance.” Spacey, a two-time Oscar winner, was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance.
