An Affair To Remember Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: In this poignant and humorous love story nominated for four Academy Awards, Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr meet on an ocean liner and fall deeply in love. Though each is engaged to someone else, they agree to meet six months later at the Empire State Building if they still feel the same way about each other. But a tragic accident prevents their rendezvous and the lover's future takes an emotional and uncertain turn.

Review: An Affair to remember is a classic Cary Grant/Deborah Kerr romance film.  This is the classic film of true love, despite all odds.  The charisma of Grant is overwhelming on screen and this 1957 classic is oozing with romance.

The blu-ray transfer looks fantastic on this one.  The color really pops on this one, which sometimes accents how fake the backrounds are, but its well worth it.  We get a wonderfully cleaned-up version of one of the best cinematic love stories of all-time.

The special features on this new blu-ray release include: Commentary by Singer Marnie Nixon and Film Historian Joseph McBride, Affairs to Remember: Deborah Kerr, Affairs to Remember: Cary Grant, Directed by Leo McCarey, A Producer to Remember: Jerry Wald, The Look of An Affair to Remember, AMC Backstory®: An Affair to Remember, Fox Movietone News: An Affair to Remember Shipboard Premiere Attracts Celebrities and Trailer.

Interest Range: Vintage Film, Romance
