Review: Conviction is the story of Betty Anne Waters, masterfully portrayed by Hilary Swank.  I'm not a huge Swank fan, per say, but she does carefully pick these dramatic roles that are on an epic scale.  In Conviction she really embodies the soul of the character and turns in a fantastic performance.  The film itself is something we've seen before, but the passion involved and the mystery of whether or not Betty's brother is actually innocent makes it worth the watch. The supporting cast of Minnie Driver (who we love!) and Juliette Lewis (whom we also love!) really takes it home!
