Review: Dances With Wolves is Kevin Costner's early 90s western masterpiece.  This is the film that won multiple academy awards, among others, and helped to make Costner a household name and respected actor.  To this day his story of a civil war era soldier and his interactions with native americans of the day is one of the finest films ever made.

The blu-ray release of this film is absolutely astounding.  Its not easy to get a film from 1990 to transfer well into high-definition, but you can tell that they really took their time with this one and made it work.  The colors are vivid and the picture is smooth.  There is no grain to speak of and the sound is perfect!  This is a wonderful release and a great way to re-own a classic.
