Iron Man: Armored Adventures - The Complete Season 1 DVD Review
Synopsis: Join the adventures of teenage prodigy Tony Stark and his alter ego, Iron Man, as he uses his technological inventions to battle villains and save the world! Includes all 26 episodes from Season 1.
Review: Vivdendi released a few single-disc releases of this show that were just going nowhere. Now, they stepped it up and have released the complete first season, just in time for Iron Man 2 to hit theaters!
In Armored Adventures we're taken away from the movie franchise reality and put in Tony Stark's childhood, when he is a young man in school and has already developed the Iron Man armor. The show is edited by the great Chris Yost, who not only has comic book cred, but also brought us the great, and now late, Wolverine and the X-Men animated series. This effort to bring some consistancy across the board for Marvel Animation is much appreciated by the fans.
The show features 3D cgi graphics, which is a very dangerous area to go into, because so many shows fail with far inferior graphics quality. Armored Adventures manages to pull it off with a very high-quality production.
This DVD set includes all 26 episodes of season one for the first time anywhere. Its a fantastic release for kids and adult comic book fans alike. While the show doesn't give a direct depiction of the characters from the comics, it does take great strides to do them justice.
