Review: We've seen our fair share of movies here at the Legion, as you might imagine. Included are plenty of action-packed mountain climbing films. North Face is without a doubt the most out of the mold film in it's genre. It resides in a backdrop of pre-Olympics 1936 when the Nazis were hoping to show their might at the Olympics and climbing this mountain would help to solidify their superiority prior to the event.
In this film we see Germans Toni Kurz and Andreas Hinterstoisser climb this mountain with the backdrop of rising Nazi Germany. It makes for a very interesting an fun movie. The backdrop definately helps to add to the level of suspense at many times. The film is full of action and suspense, all the way to the conclusion.
