Nutty Professor: 50th Anniversary Blu-Ray Ultimate Collector's Edition Review

Synopsis: THE NUTTY PROFESSOR is now available on Blu-ray, in a brand-new 50th Anniversary four-disc Collector’s Edition, including a new featurette called “Jerry Lewis: No Apologies,” an intimate look at “The King of Comedy,” a 48-page book of the film’s original story boards, a 44-page book of excerpts from Jerry’s cutting script with personal notes, and a recreated “Being a Person” book – written exclusive for the film’s crew.  Two other Lewis comedies, Cinderfella and The Errand Boy are included in the set.

Review: The true comedy film is a lost art these days.  I find myself looking back to classics like the Nutty Professor and other Jerry Lewis films, because movies like this are timeless.  This new boxed set brings the classic film to blu-ray in a great collector's edition that is beyond definitive!  The book is a fantastic accompanyment, not to mention the great extras on the blu-ray.  This set also gives us a few other films with Cinderfella and The Errand Boy.  I had seen Cinderfella before, but not The Errand Boy.  I absolutely loved both of them and have already had a really fun viewing night with the family.  These films are great for those with kids that still want to laugh!

Interest Range: Comedy
