The Adventures of Batman DVD Review

The Adventures of Batman DVD Review

Synopsis:  The Adventures of Batman is an American animated television series produced by Lou Schiemer's Filmation Studios, which first broadcast as part of The Batman/Superman Hour in 1968.  Each of the 34 shorts features over-the-top characters and catchy dramatic music cues, giving this version of Batman a realistic look and feel—by cartoon standards of the day. The film’s colors are vibrant, exciting and truly exemplify the character of these original films.

Review: Batman is one of the most popular comic book heroes in the world, so you would assume that all of the animated incarnations were already released on DVD, but that just isn't the case.  Now, with this release, we get a step closer to completion!  This is the first true Batman cartoon.  It was produced by the legendary Filmation studios.  This single DVD represents the complete series, so its a great one-stop buy to help complete your collection.  This cartoon is a lot of fun, as long as you're looking for the 'white knight' version of Batman that we got from the 1966 Batman TV show.  We highly recommend picking this one up, its a must for any real Bat-Fan!
