Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked Blu-Ray/ DVD Review

Synopsis: In the third entry in the popular live-action/animated series, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, their guardian Dave (Jason Lee), old foe Ian (David Cross), and Chipettes Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor wind up marooned on a tropical island. Their adventure includes an encounter with a mysterious castaway named Zoe (Jenny Slate), a dangerous volcano, a buried treasure, and a spider bite that brings about an odd change in Simon.

Review: Alvin and the Chipmunks have been around for decades.  My experience with them was the 1980s cartoon series.  That being long over, a new generation gets to enjoy these adorable little songsters through these live action/animated films.   This third in the series of films has the little guys and girls going strong as they are castaway on an island.  During the film odd things happen, like brainy Simon being bit by an exotic spider and experiencing a distruptive personality change.  This one is right on par with the first two in writing, acting, song and quality and your kids will LOVE it.

Interest Range: The Chipmunks, Comedy
