Review: We here at the Legion grew up watching a lot of vintage film. I'm talking black and whites, noir, even silent films. What appealed to us about the Artist right away was its throwback to this era. The tale is set during the conversion into talking film or "talkies" and what happened to the silent film stars of the era as a new generation of Hollywood was born. Its been said before, but the best way to describe this film is a huge love letter to the film of yesterday. This one is charming, fun and absolutely riveting. It makes us yearn for a time when Hollywood was in it's golden era. We cannot recommend this film enough.
