Review: The latest live action release from Disney is something a little out of character.  The Prince of Persia is a video game series that deals with action, adventure and mystery.

Jake Gyllenhaal turns in a characteristically suberb performance as Dastan.  His good looks will certainly interest a lot of the viewing audience, while his accessibility and vulnerability make him a likeable actor.   He's a great choice for a leading role.  The choice of the great Alfred Molina as an almost comic relief as the greedy shiek is phenominal.

The film isn't perfect, it harbors a little bit of editing that cuts short some of the best scenes, but overall it is definately a success!  This one is Indiana Jones-style fun for the entire family!
