Batman: Brave and the Bold Season Two, Part One DVD Review

Synopsis: "Batman" wings into an exciting new era, teaming with a mighty honor roll of DC Comics Super Heroes in this action-packed series. Through the show's season two 12 Animated Adventures in this 2-Disc Collection, the Dark Knight allies with Aquaman, Plastic Man, Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Wildcat, Deadman, Bronze Tiger and Atom to take on an array of evildoers ranging from mad scientists to intergalactic crooks, from power-mad dictators to out-of-control teenagers.

Review: Batman: The Brave and the Bold has recieved mixed reactions from fans and children.  Comic book fans tend to enjoy the silver-age tributes and great classic stories, while kids have a distinct lack of interest in the show.  Cartoon Network cancelled the show, and the last episode aired in early August 2011.  The first two seasons had 26 episodes each (split between two 13-episode DVD sets per season), but season three will have only 13, so we're looking at two more DVD releases after this one until you can own the entire series.  Season two really picked up and the show got a lot tighter with the storytelling and building of sub-plots.  This DVD is a must-have for any serious bat-fan.

Episodes: DEATH RACE TO OBLIVION,LONG ARM OF THE LAW,REVENGE OF THE REACH, AQUAMAN'S OUTRAGEOUS ADVENTURE,GOLDEN AGE OF JUSTICE,SIDEKICKS ASSEMBLE,CLASH OF THE METAL MEN,BAT DIVIDED,SUPER-BATMAN OF PLANET X,POWER OF SHAZAM,CHILL OF THE NIGHT,GORILLAS IN OUR MIDST

Interest Range: Animation, Batman
