Mr. Popper's Penguins (Blu-ray / DVD / Digital Copy) Review

Synopsis: Chill out with the funniest family comedy of the year! Jim Carrey stars as Tom Popper, a successful businessman who’s clueless when it comes to the really important things in life...until he inherits six “adorable” penguins, each with its own unique personality. Soon Tom’s rambunctious roommates turn his swank New York apartment into a snowy winter wonderland — and the rest of his world upside-down. Adapted from the award-winning classic children’s book, Mr. Popper’s Penguins is a cool blast of fun for all ages!

Review: Mr. Popper's Penguins is based on the famous children's novel of the same name.  I remember loving it as a kid, so I was excited to share this film with my own family.  The animal nuts in our house (which is all of us) went crazy over the penguins.  The tone was mostly light and family friendly.  The basic premise reminds me of another of Carey's greats, "Liar, Liar".  He plays a shrewd businessman with no time for his kids and by the end the penguins teach him many lessons, including the importance of his own family.  This one is a keeper and Carey is hilarious, as always.
