Twas the Night Before Christmas DVD Review

Twas the Night Before Christmas DVD Review

Synopsis: For some unexplained reason, letters to Santa Claus are being returned to the children of Junctionville.  It seems some resident has angered St. Nick, calling Christmas "a fraudulent myth!"  Sketptical Albert Mouse has to be brought to his senses "and let up a little on the wonder why."  How Albert is persuaded to change his tune paves the way for Santa's jolly return to town -- and the joyous finale of the animated fable inspired by Clement Moore's poem and produced by the merrymaking conjurers of Rankin/Bass Studios.

Review: Everyone loves a good Xmas movie.  I enjoy watching everything from Rudolph to Frosty to the Garfield Xmas special and Charlie Brown each year.  One that hasn't been around for many years, at least not that I've caught, is the Rankin/Bass animated classic "Twas the Night Before Christmas."

This enjoyable classic cartoon shows a tale of what would happen if we sassed Santa and he stomped off the job.  Its a well produced and fun cartoon that isn't well circulated on television, so this may be the first chance for your kids to see it.  Mine loved it and that was enough for me!

Interest Range: Xmas, Animation
