Real Steel Blu-Ray / DVD Review

Synopsis: Set in the near future where robot boxing is a top sport a struggling promoter feels hes found a champion in a discarded robot. During his hopeful rise to the top he discovers he has an 11-year-old son who wants to know his father

Review: Real Steel isn't a new and fresh film.  The plots and character motivations are in no way original..in fact they're even cliche.  Thats not to say that this isn't a great movie....because actually it is!   The fact that you add in boxing Robots and the great Hugh Jackman didn't hurt, but this one is so finely polished and so well executed that its an absolute joy to experience.  My 9 year old son LOVED this one, and I found myself very much into it, as well.  Its the old underdog story with a new twist, and defiantely a great family film.

Interest Range: Drama, Action
