A Separation Blu-Ray Review
Synopsis: Simin wants to leave Iran with her husband Nader and daughter Termeh but when Nader refuses to leave behind his Alzheimer-suffering father, Simin sues for divorce. Her request having failed, Simin goes back to her parents, but Termeh decides to stay with Nader.
Review: A Separation is a fantastic foreign film that gives us a look at the life of the urban middle class in Iran. I honestly didn't know a lot about their middle class, all I see is the insanity in the streets that the news shows us. Its striking how similar the conflicts and challenges of family life are to our own. This film is very dramatic and full of fantastic characters. The acting is spot-on and the story is engulfing.
