Mia & The Migoo DVD Review

Synopsis: In this breathtaking animated adventure, a wild-haired young girl named Mia sets off to rescue her father who has been trapped in a construction site landslide at a remote tropical lake. In the middle of the lake stands the ancient Tree of Life that is watched over by innocent forest spirits called the Migoo. Together, Mia and the Migoo join forces to find her father and protect the ancient tree.

Review: This animated feature is an imported French film from 2008 that features dubbed voices from some fantastic American voice talents like Whoopi Goldberg and John DiMaggio.  The film is an eco-friendly family film about the environment and has some touching characters, along with some pretty mature emotional themes.  This one is best for tweens, teens and adults that are into animation, rather than little ones.  We do recommend this unique animated film for anyone over the age of 12.

Bonus Features: Making-of Featurette, Jacques-RÃmy Girerd: Maker of Dreams Featurette

Interest Range: Animation
