Synopsis: Set in a remote village where the church and the mosque stand side by side, WHERE DO WE GO NOW? follows the antics of the town's women to keep their blowhard men from starting a religious war. Women heartsick over sons, husbands and fathers lost to previous flare-ups unite to distract their men with clever ruses, from faking a miracle to hiring a troop of Ukrainian strippers
Review: Where Do We Go Now? is a release that came out last year in Lebanon. The film highlights some of the absurdity and violence that religion brings to the world by showing a ficticious village where the Muslim and Christian men are always at odds. The women of the village to their best to distract them in what are rather elaborate and often humorous ways. This one is a great watch and a nice statement on culture.
