Two-Faced Woman DVD Review
The Warner Archive Collection is proud to present the long awaited release of Greta Garbo’s final film Two Faced Womanand two of her other memorable films Romance and Torrent.  Available now at the WarnerArchive.com: http://bit.ly/WAC_Garbo

Synopsis:Larry Blake (Melvyn Douglas) is growing a bit blasé about his outdoorsy bride Karin (Greta Garbo). So Karin masquerades as her temptress twin, suggestively purring “I’m partial to the indoor life” in a bid to pique her husband’s romantic attention – and the sophisticated fun begins! Viewers willing to suspend their disbelief (who could weary of Garbo?) are in for a double dose of the divine in the great star’s final film, a romantic comedy that reunites her with her Ninotchka leading man Douglas and Camille director George Cukor. Exquisitely gowned, Garbo is obviously having a ball as the faux femme fatale, especially in a sexy south-of-the-border dance sequence that’s a lot more Latin Bombshell than Swedish Sphinx.

Review: Greta Garbo will go down in history as one of the greatest hollywood vamps.  She retired at age 36 after making only 25 films.  The Warner Archive has brought back her 1941 classic Two-Faced Woman on DVD for the first time.  This classic film, previously available only on hard to find VHS, looks absolutely amazing.  The film quality is great and the sound is as good as can be asked for.

Garbo is absolutely stunning in the film.  Her character is certainly sympathetic and the laughs are abound.  There are some great outdoors shots to enjoy, especially in the skiing bits.  Overall, this is a wonderful film.  If you enjoy noir film and get into vintage comedy, this one is a gem!

Interest Range: Vintage Film
