Embark on an extraordinary coming-of-age adventure as Simba, a lion cub who cannot wait to be king, searches for his destiny in the great “Circle of Life.” You will be thrilled by the breathtaking animation, unforgettable Academy Award®–winning music (1994: Best Original Score; Best Song, “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”) and timeless story. The king of all animated films reigns on Disney Blu-ray 3D—magic in a new dimension.

Review: Few animated features have grabbed the attention of audiences like the Lion King.  This was basically the last Disney to really do the trick before Pixar took over.  The film was well-written, fun and lively, while also having a good level of emotional depth.  The score was amazing and the "Circle of Life" anthem from Elton John is still often heard.   I love this movie...I always have.  I saw it in the theater when it was new and I fell in love with it.

Now, Disney is releasing the film on blu-ray high-definition for the first time.  In true Disney fashion, the set comes with the DVD too, which is great for the kids to use.  The film looks absolutely amazing on blu-ray!  The color pops and the sound is phenominal.    This is a great way to commemorate this wonderful movie and to enjoy it in its best possible form.  It looks better now than it did in the theater!

Interest Range: Disney, Classic Animation
