The FBI The First Season Part One DVD Review

Synopsis: From the files of the crime-fighting agency! Drawing in large part from actual Bureau investigations, The FBI is on the case with an exciting 4-Disc Collection of Season One’s First 16 Episodes from the fondly remembered series that ran from 1965 to 1974. Agent Lewis Erskine (Efrem Zimbalist, Jr.) and Special Agent Jim Rhodes (Stephen Brooks) rely on real-life FBI detection techniques (and the occasional hunch) as they track lawbreakers ranging from organized crime bosses and extortionists to saboteurs and escaped convicts. Among the guest stars for this trend- and tone-setting early installments are Robert Blake, Beau Bridges, Dabney Coleman, Robert Duvall, Jack Klugman, Leslie Neilsen and Burt Reynolds.

Review: FBI was a vintage television action show that featured the great Efrem Zimbalist, Jr., who would later famously go on to voice the butler Alfred in the cult favorite cartoon Batman: The Animated Series.  He plays special agent Erskine with dignity and cunning.  The show follows a team of FBI agents as they chase the criminals of the day.  In fact, on some episodes there was a proceeding clip of the star of the show giving a picture and information on a real-life FBI's most wanted criminal.  This would later be replicated on the tv show "America's Most Wanted".   This DVD is a great blast from the past and one of the best original cop shows.

Interest Range: Vintage TV
