Fade to Black DVD Review

Fade to Black DVD Review

Synopsis: Danny Huston (Robin Hood, Clash of the Titans) stars with Oscar®-winner Christopher Walken (The Deer Hunter) in this twisting mystery-thriller of intrigue, seduction and murder. Arriving in post-WWII Rome to re-kindle his failing career, movie star and director Orson Welles is immediately captivated by a ravishing young actress (Paz Vega, Spanglish). But when her stepfather is killed by an unknown assassin, Welles and his street-wise Italian driver/bodyguard (Diego Luna, The Terminal) are plunged into Rome’s chaotic criminal underworld, where nothing is what it seems, no one can be trusted and the truth…is the deadliest illusion of all.

Review: Ok, I wouldn't normally watch this film based on the cover or the synopsis.  It just sounded cliche.  What it was, however, is phenominal!  Firstly, that Paz Vega is a beauty.  I enjoyed her in Spanglish, but this role really lets her flex her range and she's quite the sex symbol.  Danny Huston does a great job and Walken...he's always Walken, which is just fine by us!  Fade to Black was full of drama, action and intrigue.  It was such a fun watch, we'll definately be keeping this in our DVD library.  I can recommend this to you with confidence.

Interest Range: Drama
