The Hangover: Extreme Edition Blu-Ray Review

The Hangover: Extreme Edition Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: From Old School director Todd Phillips comes a comedy about a bachelor party gone very, very wrong. Two days before his wedding, Doug (Justin Bartha) drives to Las Vegas with his best buddies Phil and Stu (Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms) and his future brother-in-law Alan (Zach Galifianakis), for a blow-out bachelor party they vow they'll never forget. But when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning with pounding headaches, they can't remember a thing. Their luxury hotel suite is beyond trashed and the groom is nowhere to be found. With no clue about what happened and little time to spare, the trio must attempt to retrace their bad decisions from the night before in order to figure out where things went wrong in the hopes of finding Doug and getting him back to L.A. in time for his wedding. But the more they begin to uncover, the more they realize just how much trouble they're really in.

Review: I don't think I need to sit here on my soapbox and lecture you about how the Hangover is easily one of if not the funniest comedy of all-time.  The movie is classic!  They really stumbled on a hit with this one, so is it any surprise that they are going to re-release the film a million times?  Of course not, it'll sell!  I can't blame them for that one.  Here is what this set includes...it has the unrated Hangover blu-ray that you could purchase last year along with a great new 28-page hardcover book that serves as the 'missing wedding album' for Stu and Jade!   We don't get any new extras, but the book and the snazzy new slipcase and cover make it worthwile to me!  I'll buy anything Hangover they put out, I can't help it.  If you don't own the movie, you're a big fan or you know someone you want to gift this one to...the Extreme Edition is the way to go!

The special features on this new Blu-Ray set include: Exclusive never-before-seen 28-page hardbound photo album--See Stu and Jade's "missing wedding album" and more incriminating photos you couldn't see in theaters, Gag reel & outtakes, The Dan Band performs Fame, Ken Jeong's nonstop hilarious improv, And other endlessly funny extras, includng more photos from the missing camera!

Interest Range: Comedy, Cult Classics
