Black Swan Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: A BALLET DANCER WINS THE LEAD IN SWAN LAKE AND IS PERFECT FOR THE ROLE OF THE DELICATE WHITE SWAN - PRINCESS ODETTE - BUT SLOWLY LOSES HER MIND AS SHE BECOMES MORE AND MORE LIKE ODILE THE BLACK SWAN, DAUGHTER OF AN EVIL MAGICIAN.
Review: What does one say about Black Swan?  Every so often a film comes out that is so powerful and so striking that audiences have nothing but glowing things to say about it.  Black Swan is this film.  It has solidified Natalie Portman in the public eye as a serious dramatic actress...something many of us cult fans have known for some time.  It unfortunately caused an overshadowing of the other big talent of the film, Mila Kunis.  These two beautiful and talented actresses create such a fantastic vision of madness that its not soon forgotten.

This movie is not for the casual viewer.  To be honest, I just don't think they'll be into it.  The movie messes with the mind of the viewer to the level that few have before it.  The film looks stunning on blu-ray, the high-definition really does it well.  I recommend purchasing it in this format.  Although I was a bit sad to have to get a white slipcase with the blu-ray, as opposed to the slick black one that comes on the DVD!

Interest Range: Drama, Oscar Winning
