Synopsis: Alcatraz: The Complete Series movie was released Oct 16, 2012 by the Warner Home Video studio. In 1963, all the prisoners and guards mysteriously disappear from Alcatraz. Alcatraz: The Complete Series movie In the present day, they resurface and a secret agency are tasked with re-capturing them.
Review: Alcatraz is the lastest offering from sci-fi TV guru J.J. Abrams. The series, which aired on and was axed too quickly by FOX, is an ambitious, if not fully realized story about what happened to the Alcatraz inmates. The series is high quality and has some great actors, like Sam Neill. The mysteries most likely would've dealt with aliens or alternate universes or time travel, since this is an Abrams show, but we would've like to get some answers on this one! Thanks a lot FOX. Anyway, at least we get the 13 epsiode first season and subsequently complete series on blu-ray.
The special features on this blu-ray include: Alcatraz: Island of Intrigue (featurette): We'll see what attracted the creators to this island and what stories they hope to tell. The cast will discuss what they did to prepare for these roles and share their memories of visiting and working on Alcatraz.
