Note To Self DVD Review

Synopsis: Curtis King, a handsome and popular student athlete, (Christian Keyes, Madea Goes to Jail) may know his way around the court, but his heart still needs a game plan. When he decides to keep a journal to give his life a new direction, the path leads him straight to the love he needed most. A fresh and romantic look at growing up and finding your destiny, also starring singer Brian McKnight, Letoya Luckett (The Preacher’s Daughter), Richard T. Jones (Why Did I Get Married?), and Clifton Powell (Ray).

Review: When I went into this film I didn't have high expectations.  Honestly, it looks cheesy and cliche.  What I got was a film that is a fantastic snapshot into a culture where all too often young people are growing up without fathers.  This film features a kid reconnecting with his dad and creating a new bond, all the while exploring romance and growing as a young man.  This was a great film, very uplifting without being cliche.

Interest Range: Drama, Romance
